Does My Engine Need Rebuilt

You may be wondering if your engine needs to be rebuilt or if there is a simpler solution. If your motorcycle, atv, or sxs is exhibiting any of these symptoms it may be a sign that your bike needs to be rebuilt.
  • Loss of compression - Little or no compression when kickstarting your bike indicateds you may need your motor rebuilt. If you aren't sure if there is compression or not, bring your bike in and we can run a quick compression test to check.
  • Excessive smoke - 2-strokes are supposed to smoke a little, but 4-strokes should not
  • Burning oil - If your machine is burning through oil at a faster than usual rate, it may be an indication that something is wrong.
  • Engine knocking - If you hear a distinct knocking sound while riding, you should definitely bring your machine in to our service center repair shop.
  • Sludge or shavings in the oil - This indicates that parts inside the motor are grinding and likely need replaced
Alpine XC's service center is set up to repair all of these problems, and perform quality repairs that you can trust. We include vapor blasting with all engine rebuilds at no additional cost to ensure that your machine runs perfectly and looks as good as new.
